Ralph J. Olson’s memoir encompasses the 40 years between 1974 and 2014. It covers Ralph’s marriage to Virginia Holzhauser Olson (aka Ginny) and parallels most of his business career which started in 1965 and ended with his retirement in 2006.
This autobiographical work is written in a series of stories and vignettes.
Some chapters are chronological and others are about individuals or experiences that span long periods of time.
The road traveled from the mountain to the lake was not a straight line, but had a series of hills and valleys with many twists and turns. Choosing the right path, at times, required a few God winks and some elements of divine intervention.
Ralph’s story was written as a legacy document for family, friends, and future generations. it can also serve as an inspirational tool to those striving to overcome adversity and achieve a better life by dreaming and making impossible dreams a reality.
