About Me
I am blessed to have worked for some great companies and been surrounded by some outstanding professionals in my 40 plus year career in the consumer product and packaging industries. These experiences led the way for me to become the first non-family member in 102 years to assume the role of President and CEO of the R.A. Jones Company based in Covington, Kentucky. The board elected me Chairman the following year.
Jones is a global leader in the supply of custom designed high-speed automated packaging machinery servicing the top 100 companies in the food, pharmaceutical, beverage and electronic industries.
Successfully led the turnaround of this privately-owned company through three ownership changes in less than 18 months and stayed with the company for the next five years as it generated record sales and profits.
Prior to Jones, I was President and Chief Operating officer of Gibson Greetings, President of E-Z-GO Textron, President of Interlake Material Handing Co, President of Sherwin-Williams and the youngest Vice President at Pepsi Cola.
After retiring, I was actively involved in starting a non-profit in Atlanta (Hero for Children) and was Vice Chair of the Leonard Center at Penn State. I was instrumental in helping an internal medicine doctor start a Concierge practice and have mentored many young professionals as well as assisted various local businesses and organizations develop strategic plans.
